Project 'View on art'

Each 6 weeks a painting as a donation for PTN.
This time we auction on line the painting on the right. This work of art has been painted by the artist Carry van Delft and specially selected for Peoples Trust. geselecteerd.

To set up this special project, she thought of a combination of photograpfy and painting. An art in which pictures of human eyes or partial portraits are captivated in paint. The choice of "eyes" as a central theme was a challenge. Eyes tell you something, are drawing your attention. Expressions sharply recorded by a photographer, and to which a painter can connect a fascinating topic. The artist of Vlaardingen, Carry van Delft, approached the photographer Sander Nagel for this project. Because of this groundbreaking idea and the suggested goal, he cooperated immediately. The photo's were provided and in October 2007 there was started with the series of works of art. In these works (acryl and mixed media) is chosen for alternating use of colors. "Emotion" is certainly important in this series of paintings and that makes the works interesting to look at. In Mai 2008, seven months after date, the project was ready.

THE PURPOSE
It is a matter of rural girls from Nepal, India and Bangladesh. In deze gruwelijke bordelen worden deze meisjes gevangen gehouden en worden zij dagelijks, jarenlang door gemiddeld 30 bezoekers per dag misbruikt. In these atrocious brothels, these girls are imprisoned and they are abused dailly by about 30 visitors during several years. Often they are HIV infected.

PEOPLES TRUST
Peoples Trust performs, in collaboration with her partner oganisation STOP and Rescue Foundation, projects to counter misuse of children through "liberating teams" who do invasions in brothels. Then, the way to a new life starts en they receive care and medical help, training and education. But they have a long way to go before they can live independant. En for this, money is necessary.
